Pomene Hideaway is all about disconnecting from the modern world and reconnecting with nature. Come prepared, and you’ll enjoy an unforgettable experience in one of the most spectacular hidden gems on the African coastline.

Limited Power

Pomene Hideaway runs on solar panels, batteries and inverters installed to run camping fridges and to use basic electric equipment. There are two gas fridges as well.

Hot Showers

Fresh water is pumped daily from a well. Four of the rooms are equipped with paraffin geysers.

Mosquitos

There are practically no mosquitos at Pomene Hideaway – one of the unique features about this special place! During the past 15 years there have been two sightings of mosquitos. This means our beds are not covered with nets to you can enjoy an African paradise in true freedom!

4x4 Required

Due to steep dunes and soft sand, only 4x4 vehicles can access Pomene Hideaway. Make sure your vehicle is in good condition for off-road travel.

Upon reaching the boom gate of the Nature Reserve, deflate your tires to improve traction on the sandy terrain.
